The world of Earth Alpha is a world of advanced science and has developed at a much faster pace then our own. Thanks to the efforts of super science the people of Earth Alpha enjoy technology that is cutting edge. Most regions of the world are postindustrial and have excellent life expectancies and quality of living standards. Colonies on the Moon and the articifical planet of Terra are expanding. The well-to-do rent condos on one of Stark Industries satellite resorts or enjoy the floating artificial islands developed by PFP (Pym/Forge/Palmer) Industries. Emission free vehicles and mass transit are the standard. Pollution is almost unheard of. Nuclear and biological weapons are outlawed. The population of the major cities and the planet is higher than Earth-0 as well.
Sounds great right? Well, it usually is....up until one of the MANY superpowered villains or villainous organizations tries to upset things. There are always those that want a bigger piece of the pie or just enjoy creating havoc. While the world's governments have agreed to not produce WMD's, there are those in the villain community that work tirelessly on the next "Doomsday" device.
